GBA - Mario Tennis Power Tour
Mario and friends return to the court in Nintendo's MARIO TENNIS POWER TOUR for the Game Boy Advance. Mario has played tennis before, but the new GBA game focuses on multiplayer fun, an interesting campaign mode, and power ups. The campaign mode, called power tour, gives players the chance to create their own unique character and then make him or her a tennis champion by taking on Mario and other Nintendo characters like Donkey Kong in single and double matches. Outside of tennis, players can explore the Royal Tennis Academy, train in a number of mini games, and have fun. The power ups in MARIO TENNIS POWER TOUR come in the form of stat-boosting points earned for each game. These points can be applied to either the players character or their doubles partner and increase their power, control, and other stats. Characters can also learn power shots, super-powerful hits that are nearly guaranteed to score a point. The multiplayer options allow up to four players to link together to play doubles or two players to play singles. As players advance through the power tournament, more courts and characters will be unlocked to use, and players can also bring in their unique character from the tour to play with. Whether you love tennis or just like Mario games, MARIO TENNIS POWER TOUR is a fun game. The tutorial and instruction book explain the tennis rules and the unique twists Mario puts on them.
