PS2 - Musashi: Samurai Legend

Square-Enix has brought back Musashi, hero of Brave Fencer Musashi, for another world-saving, girl-rescuing mission for the PS2. With a new, manga-influenced look, youAell hardly believe this is the same blue-haired character from the previous game. This time, Musashi has been summoned by Mycella, a maiden of the Mystic people, to save her world from the evil Gandrake Enterprises. Gandrake has discovered a way to use Nebulite ore to power its new engine and pave the way for an industrial revolution. The Mystic maidens, however, have the ability to draw even more power from Nebulite, an ability that has Gandrake searching the world to capture them. The game play of Samurai Legends is similar to Brave Fencer Musashi. Musashi is equipped with a short katana for quick attacks and a slower, more powerful broadsword for strong attacks. He also has the ability to absorb enemy attacks and use his swords in combination, adding an element of strategy to battles. In between the hack-and-slash missions to recover the maidens or do a maidenAes bidding (they often send Musashi on errands), players can explore Antheum, a city carried by a flying whale. As more maidens are recovered, more options become available, including weapon upgrades and items.
Fans of the original Musashi game will be able to jump right in to MUSASHI: SAMURAI LEGEND, and thanks to the intuitive control system, so will new players. Both will enjoy the fast-paced gameplay, and manga fans will be especially pleased with the graphics and character designs. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved.
